*Connor will eventually find something that looks like it could be a path. Following it will end up at a cave with rustic furniture. It’s dark inside.*

Connor: ... *looks around the outside, then heads inside* Hello? Amanda?

*He’ll find no sign of Amanda, but he will find evidence of someone living there. He’ll hear something move back near the entrance. When he looks a large werewolf creature is gazing at him. It’s too dark to otherwise make out too many details.*

Connor: *slight headtilt, gazing back* Hello?

From:

Werewolf: Hello. You’re looking for someone? *heard this...man? Calling for “Amanda”.*

Connor: Yes. My handler, Amanda. What landscape is this? I'm not familiar with this program.

Werewolf: Handler? ...Program? I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Connor: *gazes at him, LED yellow and swirling slowly before returning to solid blue* I see. I'm sorry if I disturbed you. Have a good night. *turns around and walks back out, intent on finding the path again to follow the opposite way*

Werewolf: Where are you going? *not challenging, so much as curious. This man doesn’t smell right, and what is the light on his head? This is so strange...*

Connor: *without stopping* To find my handler.

Werewolf: *follows.* I doubt you will, friend. Where are you from? ...and what are you, if I may ask?

Connor: *stops and looks at him* Detroit, Michigan. *headtilt* I'm an android. My name is Connor. I'm a model RK-800 prototype for service with law enforcement. *a beat, then* What are you?

Werewolf: *headtilt of his own.* I am an amin, one of three main races in this world, the others being j’har and human.

Connor: *mild frown* What world is this? And how did I get here? Is this a virtual reality simulation?

Amin: This is Reirinsei, and I do not know how you got here. I do not know what virtual reality is, but I believe I can say it is not.

Connor: *frown deepens* I need to find Amanda. Excuse me. *and turns to head off again into the forest.

Amin: ..... *This is almost too strange to accept. Is he dreaming or something?* ...It’s dangerous to travel the woods at night. When was the last time you saw your friend, and where?

Connor: We are not friends. Androids are not capable of friendship. She is my handler. I saw her three hours and twenty-six minutes ago when she gave me my current mission. We met in the Zen Garden which is a graphic interface.

Amin: *brought up short at that...* I... see. *he’s... really not sure what to make of this right now...* ...Do you want help searching?

Connor: *considers* I would not turn it down. I would guess that you are familiar with this area...?

Amin: *nods* I’ve lived here for many years now. *a beat* My name is Terris. You said your name is Connor?
