 Raida: ...*will go down to the river to try to wash his blood out of her dress.*

Darnell: Shh, shh, it's okay. It's just me. I'm all right now. Well...I will be. *pulls his tunic off and wads it up, burying the blood stain in the center, hoping that will help her, then will try to sooth her before checking his packs over, will go ahead and leave her there for the moment and head back to the river* Well, the thieves didn't find my horse, so I only lost what was on me, which thankfully wasn't much. I...I don't have much to offer you, Raida, but I was going to set up camp and fix dinner after I caught some fish. You're welcome to join me if you'd like. For dinner, at least.

Raida: *looks at him...and nods* Thank you.  I'll help get some fish for us.

Darnell: That'd be great, thank you. *will get what he needs for fishing*

Raida: ...Actually, if you have something to change into, I can wash your clothes, while you fish...

Darnell: Ah . . . I do. You don't have to, though.

Raida: Then change while you get your fishing supplies, and I'll wash our clothes.

Darnell: *will quickly change and return with his pants and the shirt with the hole in it, and his soap, offering all three to her* For your dress too. *and thankfully, the bandits didn't take his fishing stuff, so he'll get that set up next*

Raida: *actually... Darnell will come back to a bit of a shock.  Raida's removed her dress so she can better scrub his blood out of it.  Apparently... she's never been abused in a sexual way by a master before...*

Darnell: *she'll hear his startled, strangled gasp before he disappears back behind a tree*

Raida: *pops upright...and realizes.  She smirks* Never seen a naked woman before? *seems amused.* Just bring me your clothes.

Darnell: Just...wasn't expecting to see one. *comes back around from behind the tree* It's not usually polite for someone of one gender to see the other nude unless agreed-upon.

Raida: If my nudity bothers you, then don’t look and toss me your clothes.

Darnell: I was raised to be a gentleman, ma'am. But if my seeing you doesn't bother /you/...it doesn't bother me. *will toss her his clothes and the soap ("for her dress too") and get his fishing kit set up*

Raida: I have no reason for you seeng me to bother me, and even less reson so worry if you are the gentleman you say you are. *catches his clothes and the soap and will get to scrubbing. It helps that it’s not had a chance to dry at all. When she’s done she’ll... come start a fire and get their clothes hung over it. She’ll give her dress priority on that, since she doesn’t have anything to put on.* Do you have needle and thread? Your shirt needs mending once it dries. *Said as she settles near thr fire to warm up a bit after being in the cold water.*

Darnell: *can't help admiring her body, but there's no lust or intention to his look - he'll take her back to where he'd chosen to make camp to build the fire, and pulls out his cloak to offer her* To keep warm till your dress dries. *shakes his head at her question* That's not something I normally pack, no. I just went to ((Town)) for a few days for work. I'm heading back home to ((City)) now. *he travels but not far enough to bother with a lot of stuff*

Raida: *seems surprised and genuinely delighted to be offered his cloak. She tosses it around her shoulders and snuggles into it.* Thank you... *she nods to his comment.* It’s not bad. It’ll be fine until you’re home.

Darnell: *was just going to replace it, not like he can't afford to, but he just nods - will get the fish cleaned, flavor them with some herbs from a little cooking travel bag he maintains, and adds some leftover vegetables from what he'd found when he stopped for lunch. There's not much, he wasn't planning to feed two, but he'll split what he has*

Raida: *she eats slowly, savoring each bite, and letting it fill her more than eating quickly would.* You’re a really good cook.

Darnell: *grins* Thank you. It's a bit of a hobby of mine. It helps that I learned to cook from an amin healer. *grin turns fond - he's going to be heading home next month to visit, and he can't wait*

Raida: *little smile.* A hobby? And what do you usually do with your time?

Darnell: I'm a detective. I'm just heading home from a case, in fact. Aiming to be home in time for lunch tomorrow. *doesn't want to scare her off, or have her think he's lying or exaggerating, by just outright blurting he's the king's detective*

Raida: *headtilt, studying him.* A law man and yet you’ve no issue with my ability?

Darnell: *grimaces* Some laws are wrong. Basically, every law pertaining to j'har. *rueful grin* You should hear my sister Lin rant about how evil humans are, especially in regards to j'har. *shrugs* Besides, not only do I owe you my life, you're not the first. Also, I've got an adopted half-blood little sister who's an Air wielder. She and Dad live in a secluded cottage well outside of the nearest town.

Raida: *blinks, kind of gaping at him...and finally smiles.* You are a rare person.

Darnell: *crooked grin, shrugs* My sisters and I might has well have been j'har ourselves when we were kids - our birth father was a demanding, raging, abusive monster. So we know what it's like. And after that, we were fortunate to be raised by and around generous, loving people, so we learned love and generosity too.

Raida: *smiling still* I’m glad it’s somethng you learned so well. *despit the cloak she is nude under it, and it is getting a bit chilly. So she’ll shift around so sit closer to Darnell, if he seems okay with it, she’ll snug right up to his side.*

Darnell: *automatically wraps an arm around her* Cold? *a beat as he thinks* Do you have a home around here? Someplace you've found to call home, I mean. I can give you some supplies to help if you have somewhere to keep them. A blanket, my cooking wares... *he'll just replace them when he gets home tomorrow, not like she can easily get anything*

Raida: ...Not anymore. Those robbers raided my place. I don’t think I’ll be going back to it. *leans into him a bit.*

Darnell: Oh...I'm sorry. When I get home, I can pick you up some new supplies and bring them out here to leave for you somewhere...? *can't think of how else to help her, not like he can just take her home or something*

Raida: .........Thabks, but I don’t plan to stay near here after tonight. *smiles at him.* I really appreciate the offer though... *headtilts, studying him a long moment...and then shakes her head, as though dismissing a thought.*

Darnell: *looks at her* What is it?

Raida: *shakes her head again.* Nothing. *she shivers and snuggles closer to him, though... he’s been kind, and even if he were agreeable to the idea of “claiming” her, she’s not sure she wants to subject herself to other people in a city...it’s just a silly idea.*

Darnell: *has two more changes of clothes, but he's already worn them, else he'd offer them to her* I can pull my blanket out, if the cloak isn't enough. *reflexively hugging her a bit and rubbing her arm to hopefully warm her up a bit more*

Raida: *looks at him and gives him a smile. She reaches up to lightly catch his face so she can lean in and kiss his cheek.* You’re very sweet. I’d appreciate the blanket. Thank you.

Darnell: *blushes lightly, shrugs* It's either that or clothes, but what I've got packed still has already been worn. Didn't figure you'd want that. Be right back. *climbs to his feet to fetch the blanket and comes back, tucking it around her*

Raida: *will shift to toss part of it back around his shoulders as he settles.* Thank you. *glances a little smile at hm.*

Darnell: *tilts his head to softly tap hers in place of a hug* You're welcome. *settles to just watch the dancing flames and quietly enjoy the company of a woman at his side*

Raida: *as it gets later, and more chill, she’ll start to study him again.* It’s going t be quite cold tonight...

Darnell: *lopsided grin* I wouldn't mind playing heat rock for the night, if you're willing.

Raida: *that makes her grin.* The thought had crossed my mind... and an idea or two for really warming things up.

Darnell: *grins* Well, now, that's something I can get behind. Help me finish setting up camp?

Raida: *grin widens, aaaaand just to make sure they’re on the same page she’ll steal a kiss before pushing to her feet with his cloak still around her shoulders. She’ll go check how dry her dress is, getting there, before turning to help him finish setting up.*

Darnell: *kisses back - yep, they're definitely on the same page.*

Raida: *good. She’s looking forward to the company of a handsom gentleman. They’ll make a small shelter and get settled, snuggled togeter under Darnell’s cloak and blanket. It won’t take long for Raida to initiate a quick and passionate romp or three with him before settling to sleep snuggled close for warmth. Hey, she has to take advantage while she can, not like she often finds someone she can be with like this. She’ll even sneak a bit of Spirit in, just passive sweeps to certain places to give the sensitive area a flush of a tingling senation, just enough to make him gasp and squirm in ways that please her, but never actually doing anything more than passive; she doesn’t want to cause him pain, only pleasure. Come moring, she’s very reluctant to get up from the warm bundle.*
