Man: .....*bit of a sigh* I'll take any herbs you can gather.  Chop some wood for the fire while I check my snares and fishing lines.

Tam: Sure. Actually . . . I'll be a bit. I need to let the rest of the hunting party know Rihn's okay. You have my word that I won't tell them where or lead them here, don't worry. *to Rihn* You rest. I'll be back soon. *and if not stopped, he'll head out*

Man: How many are looking for him...?

Tam: ........ a lot. We're all spread out along the river for several miles.

Man: *grimaces* Right... go tell them, then you...and one other can come back. *he's gotten too damned soft...*

Tam: *nods* Thanks. I'll bring someone who can carry Rihn, so we can get him off your hands. *since the guy obviously wants to be left alone, right thing to do or not*

Man: ...And how far is home, if you're searching miles of river?

Tam: About half a day west and north of here.

Man: Then you'd be a fool to try to move him that far before he's healed some. 

Tam: *cocks his head at him* We could camp, true. Unless you're offering...? *not actually ASKING so much as...ornery curiosity to see how he'd reply - he's having a hard time getting a read on this guy*

Man: *grunts* You'll just be torturing him to move him, and if you camp you're likely to kill him from the water still in his lungs. Just leave him in bed until he's recovered some.

Tam: *crosses his arms, head tilting a bit farther, faint smirk on his face* For a healer, you put on a pretty good show of not caring, you know that?

Man: I'm not a healer, and I don't care, but I get that others do. *dammit, he's seriously gone soft...he's soooo not looking at Tam right now...nope...*

Tam: *grin widens* Uh-huh... *seriously just challenged the jester . . . but . . . and he's SOOOOO tempted, but...the guy's got a point, Rihn shouldn't move yet, and too risky to get Raizen to come in here, and no one needs him antagonizing this guy while Rihn's here so...guy gets off lucky...for now...*

Man: *he glances at Tam...and his frown deepens before he turns to head out to check his snares and fishing lines like he said he was going to.

Rihn: *tears streaming down his face - please stop, please stop, it's hurts! . . . is leaned into the man, clutching him with his good hand, looks when the fit mercifully subsides, gaze finding Tam and Terris with a pathetic look*
Tam: ...damn... *wishes he could help!*

Terris: Rihn. *tone full of sympathy and relief all at once.*
Man: *looks over at the voices, studying Terris a long moment before shifting to let the amin take his place by Rihn.*
Terris: Thank you, friend, for looking after him. *offers a hand* My name is Terris. Tam and Rihn are as brothers to me; I can't fully express my relief to see him alive.
Man: *hesitates...then accepts the hand.* Elias. Just glad I found him before he drowned. *or rather, Rihn /had/ drowned, he just found and resusitated him in time.*

Tam: *follows, giving Rihn a quick hug before turning to Elias and offering his hand* Elias. Sorry I didn't ask your name before. *he was kind of preoccupied*

Elias: *shrugs and accepts Tam's hand* Family first.
Terris: *will shift to Rihn.* I'm going to have a look at you, little brother. *will start to give Rihn a check up.*

Tam: *admittedly surprised, and that may show a bit on his face – “family” is the last thing he expected this guy to acknowledge in a positive tone – but he nods* Always. Thanks.
Rihn: *reaches for Terris – hug first!...he needs a hug…*

Terris: Oh Rihn. *wraps him in a gentle hug, snuggling him close and nuzzling his cheek.* I am so glad you're safe, little brother. *will lay Rihn back and start to give him a checkup. He'll remove the bandages and assess his broken ribs, broken arm, the cut and lump on his head. As he's checking Rihn's lungs and breathing.* Tam, I need you to find a [tree type] and gather as much of the fiber under the bard and sap as you can. Elias, do you have a bucket Tam can borrow?
Elias: *nods at a bucket in the corner, motioning Tam to go get it.* I can show you where a few of those trees are.

Tam: Sure thing. *nods at Elias as he moves to get the bucket* That’d be great, thanks.

Elias: *leads Tam out and will grab his ax on the way to get past the bark to the fibers and sap*
Terris: Has he given you any medicines? Do you know what he gave you? *will patiently wait for Rihn to sign one handed.*

Rihn: “N-A-S-T-Y H-E-A-L-E-R T-E-A.” *sheepish grin, doesn’t really know what else to call it, not easily*

Terris: *little smile* The fizzy one to ease pain? *nods* How long ago?

Rihn: *nods, then frowns…and gives a guess*

Terris: *nods. He'll mix up something, put it in a syringe, and give Rihn a shot in his good arm.* This will help worh fever amd hopefully help dry your lungs. *when Tam comes back in he'll use the fibers and sapnto put a cast on Rihn's arm, then will rebind his ribs for support.* All right. Try to sleep now.

Tam: *anxious* How is he?

Terris: He is very hurt and very sick. He needs time to recover.

Tam: He /will/ recover, though? *is he going to have to find a way to sneak Raizen in here?*

Terris: Right now, the biggest concern is the fluid in his lungs. Not even Raizen can help with that. *making a point* If we can get his lungs to dry out then he'll be fine.

Tam: …………..what can I do, Terris? *needs to do /something/*

Terris: ..........Stay close to him, monitor his breathing and help him as best you can if she starts coughing. I'm going back to the den for a few things I need. I'm going to leave you a few doses to treat pain and help dry his lungs out. I'll be back tomorrow.

Tam: *grim nod* Be safe, Terris. *will give him a quick hug before letting him go*
Rihn: *a little scared…but mostly tired, and trusts his brothers*
