TC: *nods* Good. *considers* Unless you have reason to object, I'm going to call Laserburn. I can have him come /here/ if you'd prefer rather than going to him, so people don't associate the two of you.

Zero: ....It's already known he was once connected with me, so either way is fine.

TC: You seemed concerned for him last night. *knows if he'd lost someone the way Laserburn did, he'd be just as sick with worry, but he also doesn't want to endanger either of the mechs somehow*

Zero: .....*voice soft* I just don't want to hurt him... *see him well only to end up lost in the pit again*

TC: *quietly* Honestly, I think it would hurt him more to not get a chance to see you again, even just once. *he gets it, he does, but being on the outside in this case, he also can see, or at least guess, the other side* Primus willing, it will be more than once.

Zero: ...*nods* All right... *he /does/ want to see his friend*

TC: *nods, and steps away to call* //Master Laserburn, it's Thundercracker.// *yeah, he's /technically/ still "on duty" if anyone /needs/ to know, but...he still respects his station if he's not immediately active*

Laser: //Thundercracker?  Everything okay?//

TC: //Yes, we're fine. Can you come visit for a bit? I have someone here that I'd like for you to meet.//

Laser: *suspicious, but not distristful.* //Why? What's up?//

TC: *Laser will hear the warmth in his tone* //Just come on over. It's easier seen than explained.// *actually, he could explain just fine, but…he'd rather Laser be /here/ where he can't doubt TC or think he's pulling some kind of cruel prank even though that's not in his nature (that's Warp if he's properly fragged off at someone)*

Laser: //See ya.// *he hangs up* *it'll probably be half a joor before he arrives.*

*They've been watching another holo-vid while they wait. TC gets up to answer the door*
TC: *small grin and a nod of greeting, and steps back to invite Laser in*

Laser: *steps in* So what-- *he /freezes/ when he spots his friend.* ...Zero...
Zero: *pushes to his feet.* Laserburn.
Laser: *a smile splits his face and he steps to Zero, pulling him into a firm hug.*
Zero: *low buzz and HUGS back.*

TC: *closes the door and crosses to Sun, hand on his shoulder, watching the reunion with a small grin*

Sun: */tucks/ against TC, practically /glowing/ with joy for them.*
Zero: */huff/buzz* Primus, it's good to see you.
Laser: It's good to see you well.
Zero: *soft laugh, pulling back a bit.* I got lucky when a small, brave mech tried to talk down my crankcased master.
Laser: .......the bombing yesterday? You were there? *frowns back at Sun.*
Sun: *embarrassed little trill.*

TC: *protectively HUGGING Sun to his side* They were both there. Ground zero. When the bomb went off, Subzero shielded Sun with his own body, then spent the rest of the day digging himself out, pulling Sun with him. *wings flick a bit* Last night, I spotted an injured slave carrying my unconscious master toward the med tents. His master was among the confirmed dead, so I took him into police custody until he can be placed with a new master. *looks at Laser* I'm going to do everything I can to see him placed in a safe home. In the meantime, I knew you'd want to see him.

Laser: *looks at Zero* You crazy fragger.
Zero: *soft laugh* Not like being at ground zero was my choice. The bomber was my master.
Laser: *geimaces*
Zero: *gives his shoulder a reassuring squeeze* What matters is I'm okay for now.
Laser: *looks at TC* Anything you can do for him...

TC: *nods* You have my word. Sun's already offered to try to claim him. If he can't...when I was taken into custody when my last master was arrested, Inspector Turboslide had promised to do what he could to get me placed in a safe home. I'm going to tap him for that once the situation at the bomb site is wrapped up. Until then, he is in my custody, and I won't let anyone hurt or threaten him.

Laser: *steps to TC, offering his hand.* /Thank you/. Thank you so much. *will turn to shake Sun's hand too after TC's*
Sun: *grinning* It's our pleasure.

TC: *grips Laser's hand* I'll never forget how much it meant to /me/ to have mechs care. *wry grin* You being one of them.

Laser: *looks back at Zero* I learned from the best.
Zero: *quietly standing back and watching them, a small hint of a smile on his face.*

TC: *motions at the couch* Feel free to stay a while if you'd like. Have you fueled recently?

Laser: Yes. I have. Thanks. *He'll shift back to Zero and the two will sit.*
*They'll... just chat. They'll talk of way back when, Laser will tell of how he and Zero met (with more detail than implied when he asked TC to look in on Zero), they'll talk of Zero in his lab and some of the accidents had there (which is why Zero was /able/ to shield Sun from the bomb and survive), and just... anything that comes to mind. They'll not just be talking to each other, but to Sun and TC too.*

*TC for one /did/ offer to give them privacy - yes, technically, he's supposed to keep his charge in his sight at all times, but he trusts Zero to not try anything - but he's…glad to be included, readily listening to anything they're willing to share. He really is glad he's finally been able to do /something/ at least, for both of them. (Now if he could just find and somehow help his trine leader…)*

Zero: *at a lull in the conversation...* Thank you... all of you. This has meant the world to me.

TC: *nods* Long ago, I first heard the saying "Pay it forward." Got what it meant, but still somehow never fully understood it till recently.

Zero: *steps to TC and offers his hand, a little smile on his face.* Even if you are unable to do anything more for me, I will cherrish this day, this moment with and old friend.

TC: *takes it in both of his, nodding* May there be more. *will gesture an invitation to sit back down and continue visiting for now, will even get everyone refills of energon, offering Laser a cube*

*They both accept and will settle. They'll be chatting well into the night when TC gets a ping from Turbo.*
Turbo: //Thundercracker? I know it's late, but I wanted to catch you now. I need you to bring Subzero to the station in the morning.//

TC: *that worries him in spite of himself, knowing that it's only to be expected* //Yes, sir, of course. How's the situation at the bomb site?//

Turbo: //I think we've found everyone we're going to. Now to inform those close to them and finish cleaning ip the site itself.//
