(no subject)

Darnell: Your grandson especially. I'm truly sorry that he's here at all, but he's been an absolute joy and I'm /so/ glad to get to spend time with him. *won't intrude on their time too much, but wanted to say that much at least*

Hannah: I'm so glad to hear that. I brought cookies for everyone. *will pull giant cookies out of her purse, each at least six inches across, thick and soft, and still slightly warm.* Fresh made. *she'll set a plastic wrapped cookie where Darnell can reach it, and hand another to Caleb... and will even go step out to offer a cookie to each guard.*

Leah: *has a hand to her face, and a /big/ grin... she loves her mom so much. She went and stuffed her purse full of giant cookies. What a saint.*

*The guards will try to politely wave her off - they really shouldn't accept anything (that could potentially if not at all LIKELY to be laced with something) while on duty...but neither can resist. They just...won't /eat/ it while on duty. Darnell will /thank/ her profusely...and call to the guards till one comes in, then tells them, no, really, it's okay in this instance. The only way Hannah would be a threat is if his enemies knew about her to have their raven attack, but they don't even know about Caleb, so...the women are safe. (He doesn't say any of this aloud.)*

*And, Darnell knows from Lalanya, that if Hannah /had/ been taken over by Dalimar and Ravenhearst, she wouldn't even be able to see Darnell, and she clearly can.*

Hannah: *will commend them for being good young men, and coming from her it's not patronizing at all, but honest praise. She'll not be offended if they save their cookies for later.*

Leah: *chuckles* I love you, mom...

Hannah: Well, I love you too dear. *as if there were any doubt! She'll give her daughter a hug*

Darnell: *oooooh, that's right, he hadn't even thought of that for Caleb's family! It's definitely good to know, though. and he's just...grinning at them. They're all so wonderful. He hopes he'll be well enough to join them when they all go to dinner at the Blackwell home.*

Leah: *Darnell doesn't know, and Thomas will find out when he goes home this evening, but she did call Mrs. Blackwell today. She'd been nervous, but they had a good talk and she's looking forward to getting to know the woman some more. She... could really use the added support with her son so sick.*

*Thomas will be /really/ glad to know that she called. And Danara was /really/ happy to talk to her.*

*Darnell will do his best to stay out of the convo while mother and grandmother visit with their son/grandson...but he can't help listening, and he enjoys the conversation.*

*Darnell won’t be left out...if nothing else than because Hannah is there to entertain and will be telling her grandson, and by extension Darnell, wonderful stories of amazing adventures.  Well...it’s clear where Caleb gets this skill from. Hannah will tell stories well into the evening, and then bid everyone a good night... even Darnell gets a grandmotherly kiss to the forehead as she heads out, pausing to once again commend the wonderful young men for doing such a great job.*

Leah: *grinning as her mother heads off down the hall* ...I don’t know what I’d do without her.
