*All right . . . moment of truth . . . Zero will hold the baby, and Mallard and Darnell will do what they can to snap the joints back into place, then get new x-ray scans to check their work.*

*The baby fights like a little hellion, and will even manage to /bite/ Zero. Zero curses but while the avatar shows the damage, it doesn't seem to diminish his strength. Once the legs are back into place the baby will scramble away fro them, hissing and roaring at them from a dark corner. It'll take a at least an hour for the men and Mama to soothe the baby enough to allow the men to apply ice and get x-rays. Someone will likely have to go back in for fresh ice packs by then.*

*The men feel /terrible/, but it's been necessary . . . Mallard is /anxious/ to get x-rays while Darnell heads up to get the cold packs - he's been cooped up down here since he got back this morning. By then, Jendayi's in bed, and Thomas will come back with him.*

*At least it was just the baby they had to soothe. Mama was distressed, but not angry with them. This is very, very good. She'll even help bring her baby over for x-rays when they're ready*

*Mallard and Darnell for two are VERY VERY GLAD!!! Mallard will even focus on soothing Mama at least part of the time while Darnell tries to approach Baby. Finally, they'll get the x-rays that Mallard feels he needs.*

*The x-rays look good as far as he can tell. Now to hope the legs stay in place and the infant heals.*

*Once Baby  has settled a bit, let them get the x-rays, and they get him bundled back up in cold packs, they'll get him settled and...uh...kinda /bind/ him so he can't move for now. Hoping a good night's sleep will do him good.*

Baby: */complains/ at them, but aches too much to struggle free for now, especially wish Mama there snuggling him anyway*

Zero: *rubbing at his wounded arm* Poor thing.

Mallard: Poor thing indeed. I /am/ hoping he'll start feeling better by morning. *will love on Mama a bit before stepping back*

Darnell: *also loves on Mama before settling himself in the nest with Baby, rumbling and softly singing to him like he was earlier*

Zero: I do hope so. *he crouches by Darnell* You don’t need to sleep out here again tonight. I can stay so you can go get some good rest.
