Nov. 18th, 2014 10:26 pm((I think I need something light and sweet for today. Maru.... Human AU....hmm...Reirinsei setting....10-ish))
*He's lost nearly everything. His parents, his home...and he may yet lose his brother. Kage is sick, very sick, and they're both starving. Maru's been reduced to begging, but he's only ignored or eventually chased off. He's desperate and /hungry/, and knows he needs more than what he's managed to scrounge from the garbage, and far more importantly his /brother/ needs food, real food...and medicine, but real food would at least be a start. He finds himself looking at a meat pie set in a window to cool. He wants to take it, it would be so easy...but it would be wrong too...but it might help Kage hang on a little longer.... Before he can make his final choice (to steal the pie or not) a large hand grabs a handful of his hair and swings him around*
Officer: Thief! Don't even /think/ about it!
