Oct. 7th, 2014 10:22 pmDarden: *moving on now* Do you mind if I ask what you are?
Maru: *nods, accepting that . . . straightens and salutes* Robots, Darden-san. More specifically, members of a team called the Brave Police. No, you'd not have heard of us or anything like us. It's quite the understatement to say that we're not from anywhere around here.
Kage: *snaps a salute with his brother*
Darden: Hm, I can accept that. What brings you out here?
Maru: *wry grin* Scouting for land to start a settlement much like you seem to have here, actually – a safe place away from the laws of this country, where all the races may live in both peace and freedom. *and where he and his team can also live in peace, free from prejudice, but he won't bother the man with that part*
Darden: If that's the case, you and those with you would be welcome here. We're not a large group, but we're growing all the time.
Maru: *glances at Kage – what does he think, he's been in this world longer*
Kage: *wants them all safe* Might we be allow to look around before we answer that?
Darden: *nods* Of course. I'll introduce you to people as well if you'd like.
Kage: *nods* We'd certainly appreciate it, Darden-san.
Maru: *nods approval/agreement and will readily follow*
*Darden will show them around, even introduce them to people. And he treats /them/ like people! Many assume the bots are staying and seem find with it, and wish them the best when Darden says they've not decided yet. What finally does decide it for Kage is finding out that Darden's wife is j'har, their son a half-blood.*
Kage: The place is wonderful, Darden-san. We'd like a chance to tell our family, let everyone be part of deciding if we'll move here before we commit to do so.
Darden: *nods* If your family is anything like you two, you're all welcome here.
Maru: *still hasn't really sunk in for him that this /isn't/ normal for this world, it's not something he notices without having it pointed out (he's been here barely more than a day, he's still adjusting)* Our . . . "family", if you will, is amin and j'har, one half-blood . . . seven more robots like us. *that's really okay with these people? – where he doesn’t notice the lack of prejudice /among/ the people here, he /is/ sensitive to how they'll react to him and his own…*
Darden: Look, so long as none in your group mean to cause harm to anyone here, you’re all welcome. We all know what prejudice feels like, no one here is going to hold another’s race against them. I can’t say I entirely understand what you are, but I can tell you’re people, with your own cares and concerns for friends and family, just like me. We have nothing against you here.
