Ziomi: O-oh, did I doze off? *softly murmured as she shifts just a bit to turn her face up to Connor.*

Connor: *brushes her cheek* I'm here. It's all right. The medicine to help with your pain also makes you sleepy.

Ziomi: I should let you up. I don’t want you to feel you have to sit here should I fall asleep. *clearly more time has passed than she thinks...*

Connor: *isn't going to be the one to tell her* I don't tire and I don't get sore or lose circulation in limbs. *the support structures in his body are designed to be flexible but prevent pinching of Thirium lines so an android /can/ hold a position as long as required without risk of damage to a limb* If this is a comfortable position for you, we can stay like this for as long as you like.

Ziomi: *softly pats his chest.* I’ll let you up so you can help Terris should he need a hand with something. *and it’d probably be better for her to lie down anyway.*

Connor: All right. *will gently work himself out from behind her and get her settled laying down*

Ziomi: *out again nearly before he gets her settled.*

Connor: *makes sure her body is aligned comforably, brushes her hair from her face, and will stand to gonsee what Terris is doing*

Terris: *gives him a smile.* Want to learn to make the medicine?

Connor: Yes, please!

Terris: *smiles at his enthusiasm.* All right. Come here and I will show you. *and he does. He shows Connor the various plants, explaining what each is and what it does in the state it’s currently in, and then the proper amounts to mix and how ro compact it down into a small cube that can be swallowed with water.*

Connor: *attentive and able to repeat things back to Terris perfectly, will even ask questions about what they're doing, how it works, /why/ it works, and if Terris is willing, once they're done with that, he'll ask about other things there in the workspace. He's a SPONGE for information*

Terris: *certainly happy to teach Connor everything. He may not know exactly why something works the way it does, but if he does he’ll share. He’ll pull out his healer’s journal. The book is thick and well worn, and won’t properly close. The pages are full of small, neat handwriting, masterfully drawn pictures, and sometimes even a pressed leaf or flower glued to the page. The book details various plants, with everything categorized by what their primary use is (what symptoms they’re used to treat), with further details on what to do with each plant, various ways to prepare and administer it depending on the symptoms or illness that needs to be treated. Notes on where to find the plants, the climates they grow in, and best times of year to harvest, and any other notes he could think of. He’s more than happy to let Connor go through his book.*

Connor: I'll learn whatever you'd be willing to teach me. I'm not from this world, and I keep finding more and more that I do not understand or knkw how to do.

Connor: *grins at the sight of the birds and will crouch down on a knee next to Terris, watching the birds in fascination. He's a bit confused when Terris puts seeds in his palm and has him hold his hand out, but then his eyes go /wide/ when a few birds fly up to perch and eat*

Terris: *grins, watching him as the burds feed from his palm.*
*three mote birds will find thier way to Connors hand, the little bunch of feathers crowding in to eat as much as they can before it’s all gone. When all the seeds are gone all but one of the birds will return to the ground to see if there are more seeds. The one stays perched on the tip of Connor’s ring finger.*

Connor: *very slowly and carefully brings his hand a little closer, getting a look at the tiny thing, thrilled completely enthralled at this close encounter*

Bird: *shifts and fluffs, head tilting to look at him.*
Terris: Never been this close to a bird?

Connor: No, never. I have plenty of data on a wide variety of animals, but I've only actually seen a few in person. Some breeds of dog during my testing phase, a family's fish I rescued when damage to its tank left it on the floor, some horses, and the rabbits Ziomi's snares have cught for food.

Terris: This one seems to like you. *will slowly reach for Connor’s other hand, drawing it close enough to put some more seed into his hand* See if it will go to your other hand.

More times than not, when I *DO* finally get a moment to check my phone, I have shit signal. >,<#

Connor: *nods and cups his hands together, moving gently* I thought wild animals avoided people.

Terris: Generally, they do. But these birds are used to me feeding them. They've become rather friendly because of that.
