Connor: *so glad to see it, will teach them another song too if they'd like*

*They do! And by the time they have that one done Terris has finished a simple dress. It'll at least be enough until they can get back to Sanctuary for more clothes for her.*

Terris: Jendayi. *motions for her to come to him as he shifts his grip on the dress to put it over her head.*

Jendayi: *looks, and then will need Connor's help getting free of the blanket.*

Connor: *will set her on her feet and get her unwrapped from the blanket so she can go to Terris*

Terris: *pulls the dress over her head.* There. Now you're a pretty princess.

Jendayi: *shy smile and looks between them, then does a little twirl.*

Connor: *gives her a grin* You look lovely, Jendayi.

Jendayi: *he gets a shy smile this time. She'll go HUG Terris (who cuddles her gently to him, nuzzling into her hair and just loving on her) and then she goes and HUGS Connor.*

Connor: *HUGS back* How are you feeling? Are you warm enough? Hungry? Do you hurt?

Jendayi: I...I'm a little hungry.

Connor: *nods* I'll get the rest of your breakfast. *will get up to fetch the food that Terris bundled up for her for later* It's still a bit early yet. If you two want to go back to bed for a while, I'll get Crackers and the chickens seen to.

Jendayi: Crackers?

Connor: A goat. You'll meet her later.

Jendayi: *will sit with the food Connor brings her* A goat? *what's that?*

Connor: *not sure how to describe one* I'll show you later.

Terris: *nods* Eat a bit more and then we'll get a little more sleep.

Connor: Eat what you can. I'll take care of things while you sleep.

Jendayi: *won't eat too much, and she does look ready to sleep when she's done.*

Terris: *will scoop her up and carry her to bed. He'll settle and snuggle her close*

Connor: *small, soft smile as they curl up together, will get things cleaned up as quietly as he can, then goes out to see to the chickens and Crackers*

Terris: *wakes later to Jendayi trying to carefully slip from bed. He’ll pretend to still sleep and will let her slip away to see what she’ll.*
Jendayi: *extracts herself from bed and slips up to Connor. Crackers gets a curious glance, but she’s focused on Connor.* I have to go potty. *halp. Where go?*

Connor: Ah... *he knows /where/ Terris goes for that need, but he knows nothing of the process. He'll take her hand to lead back inside. Softly* Terris? Jendayi has a need I don't know how to help with. She needs to urinate.

Terris: *was starting to sit up already. He smiles.* You know where I go? You can take her there, she’ll know what to do. *and he’ll be out in a moment to clean her up when she’s done.*

Connor: ... *nods and will lead her outside*

*Jendayi will do as she needs to, and Terris will be there to clean her up and send her back inside before seeing to his own needs.*
Jendayi: *will reach for Connor to pick her up once they’re back inside.*

Connor: *does so, settling her on a hip as he's seen adults do with small children* How are you feeling?

Jendayi: My back hurts. *her wounds hurt.*

Connor: I'm sorry. I'll ask Terris to see to you as soon as he comes back inside.

Jendayi: *snuggles into him.* I love you, Connor. *he’s her hero...*
Terris: *smiles hearing her say that and will move to get his medical kit.*

Connor: *his cheeks would color if they could* Thank you, Jendayi. I'm glad to have had such a positive effect on you.

Terris: Here, let’s get her wounds seen to again. I’ll teach you what ti do, Connor.

Connor: *nods and will carry her wherever Terris needs her*

Terris: *will set his kit open between him and Connor...and will start teaching him what to do. He’ll talk Connor through checking the wounds, making sure they’re not showing any sign of infection and cleaning them again and then getting bandages around Jendayi. He might do a little, but for the most part, he’ll have Connor do it.*

Connor: *attentive and obedient, committing everything to his memory stores. He's gentle, too, careful not to hurt the child when it can at all be helped and apologizing if she reacts to anything*

Jendayi: *when he’s done and has helpes slip her dress back on, she turns and HUGS Connor.* Thank you. *even though some of that hurt, she knows it was to help.*

Connor: *small, fond grin, hugging back* You're very welcome, Jendayi.

Terris: Why don’t you show her around the area a bit while I do a few things, and then we can head back to Sanctuary for a little while?

Connor: I'll show her around here, but then...I didn't finish gathering the flowers you requested yesterday. *does Terris want him to go finish that?*

Terris: We can worry about those later. Jendayi is your mission now. Keep her safe, keep her company, start teaching her some of the things I have been teaching you. Can you do that?

Connor: *brows go up in surprise* Me? ...until we take her to Sanctuary, you mean?

Terris: I don’t know yet if she’ll be staying at the Sanctuary. I understand caring for children is not what you were made for, but will you? She’s clearly very attached to you, Connor, and what she needs right now is stability and someone she feels safe with.

Connor: I...I'll do my best. There are models of androids that are meant to be caretakers for children, but I don't have any of that programming. I wouldn't know what to do.

Terris: *smiles* Then you are on the same level of most new parents. Just keep an eye on her. You don’t need to hover over her constantly, but if she is out of your sight for more than a few minutes, say ten to fifteen at most, confirm you know where she is. You’re not alone in this, I’m here too.

Connor: ........... *nods, still looking uncertain - he has no protocols for this! - but...he'll offer Jendayi his hand to take*

Jendayi: *was snuggled to him, but she shifts back, gives him a smile, and takes gis hand, ready to explore woth him.*

Connor: *offers her a small grin* Come on. You haven't met Crackers yet. *will take her outside to the animals*

Crackers: *is grazing nearby, out of her pen from when Connor saw to her earlier. She lifts her head and bleats at them.*
Jendayi: *amazed* That’s a goat?

Connor: Yes. Crackers, come here. *waves at her*

Crackers: *bleats happily and trots to Connor, lightly head butting his leg in an affectionate greeting.*

Connor: *soft chuckle, scratching behind her ears* Hello, Crackers. *crouches down on a knee to get down to both their levels, Crackers's and Jendayi's* She likes being scratched right here...

Jendayi: *tucks against Connor, but reaches out to scratch the spot.*
Crackers: *happy little murr and presses ger head to Connor’s chest as he and Jendayi love on her.*

Connor: *will love on Crackers, telling Jendayi about her*
