*Connor, Ziomi, Warik, and Amory are hitting the road with a load of deliverables to the Lavair manor. It’ll be a long day and a half of riding to reach the other manor, but they’ve set off early for the first and are in good spirits. They stop for short breaks to have a little food, but otherwise keep moving. That evening they’ll all settle in to have some dinner.*

Sirrah: Connor? *will leap from wagon to his shoulder, landing lightly and sitting with barely a hint of weight on him*

Connor: *there’s /murder/ in his eyes as he stalks the man, glancing only /ever/ so briefly to make sure the remaining attacker is no longer a threat...good. Connor: *steps up to the man, grabs him by the front of his shirt, and hauls him to his feet...and a bit higher, so he’s on his toes, tone cold* Wait for /what/?

Man: *yelps! He grips Connor’s wrist* I-I-I-!! *glances at his dead buddies and Warik and Amory approaching.* D-don’t kill me, please.

Connor: Like Ziomi’s ‘don’t rape me, please’? *debating if he should go ahead and kill this vile human or take the high road and let him live...only for him to attack someone else*

Amory: Hold him, Connor. We’ll take him to Lord Lavair. *will move to bind the man.*
Warik: *has gone to Ziomi, lifting her to sit up, snuggling her to him, cooing comforts.*
Man: *soft moan... a lord woll certainly hang him, or send him into slavery.*

Connor: *cold grin* Looks like you get your wish. *will hold him long enough for Amory to bind the man, will get something to gag him with, then will finally to go to his sister, wrapping around both her and Warik so she’s safely sandwiched between them* Ziomi...are you all right? Did he hurt you?

Ziomi: *has a swollen, bloody lip. She shifts to /cling/ to Connor.* I’m okay. I’m okay. I-I’m sorry. I’m sorry.

Connor: *HUGS her to him* It’s okay. It’s okay, Sis. You have nothing to apologize for. You’re not the one who should be apologizing. *casts a /glower/ at the captive* You have a split lip. Is anything else hurt? *just...just /loving/ on her*

Ziomi: *trembling and clinging to Connor, tucked into him.* N-no, I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking wh-when I told you not to fight. I-I’m sorry.
Warik: *looks at Connor at that.* That’s right... how... how did you do that?

Connor: I... *looks down and away as "I AM DEVIANT" crosses his HUD, worried now what they'll think of him, if they'll still accept him...even as he doesn't regret what he did, because of why he did it - softly* I broke my programming.
