*In the Decker Room, the team's been debriefed on the situation before the two ninjas arrive. When they walk in, the team stands…and at Deckard's signal, salutes in unison.*

Kage: *stands awkwardly to the side and just behind Maru, wings quivering softly with nerves.* *he'll give them a bow, rather than a salute* I am glad for the opportunity to meet everyone, and ask your forgiveness for previous encounters.

Saejima: *quietly* Brave Police… *unspoken "at ease" – the group relaxes from the salute – he steps forward, standing at the edge of the dais* Kagerou . . . if anything, I think it's we who owe /you/ an apology. …/I/ owe you an apology. Nobody fully understands how Super AIs work or what all is possible with you. But if anyone should have known better than to handle things the way they were back then, it's me. We've all learned better . . . in part thanks to you. Can you forgive /us/?

Deckard: *nods* Commissioner Saejima is right. You were poorly handled from all angles. I can't say how /any/ of us would have handled what you faced, if we would have been any better. I'm sorry you were wronged as you were. */bows/*

*McC, PJ, and Dmps do as well. After an instant's hesitation, DB does too just because his brothers are. GM and Duke are…kinda staying out of it, though they're watching.*

Kage: *kind of...looks around at all of them...finally, softly.* There is nothing to forgive. *he turns to Saejima* I hope that my return can be a further source of learning of what our Super AI's are capable of. *he doesn't even have an AI chip like the others now. Zero used some kind of chip to house his spirit, but it's not an AI chip so much as a conduit holding his soul.*

Saejima: Agreed. Will you let Chief Toudou go over your systems, Kagerou?

Kage: *nods* Yes, sir. Though...I will say now, they will not be as he expects.

Saejima: *glances at Maru – he's already been told the ninja was rebuilt by an /alien/ robot* I'm sure he'll be eager to discuss the differences with you.

Kage: *nods again* Yes, sir. *will look at Maru, and will either follow his brother or head for the maintenance bay...at least he's assuming Toudou-san is already here and waiting to see him. When he sees the engineer he'll give the man a small bow* Toudou-san.

Maru: *will go with him*

Toudou: *turns from his work, looking up as the two ninjas approach* Kagerou… *eyes wet, looks like a father who's prodigal son has returned, aggrieved and /happy/ at the same time*

Kage: */affected/ but the expression on the man’s face. He....hesitates, and then steps up and kneels, very carefully resting a finger on the man’s shoulder...and then gives him a small, warm smile.*

Toudou: *covers that finger with a hand* Welcome home, Kagerou. Can you forgive a foolish old man for not fighting harder for you? *he never /wanted/ to do what he was being told he had to*

Kage: *smile grows a little.* I can, and have. It's good to be home. ...There's much I hope I can teach even you about us, things I hope you'll help others come to understand someday.

Kage: *so much like Maru. He starts off a little bit of a mysterious little snot, but it doesn't take long for him to start answering questions. The alloy and energon he'll tell them they really need to speak to subzero about, and will say that the mech who reacused him is willing to meet with them. About his mysterious AI...* It's because I'm alive. *just...lets that kind of sink in a moment.* The Brave Police are alive, we're not just robots...

*Alive!? Alive how? They get that the BPs are sentient (not that they understand the process at all), but...they're all having trouble wrapping their minds around a non-biological being actually /alive/*

Kage: *will describe his...memories from after he died, of his interactions with Zero as a...ghost. He looks at them.* I don't know how. Maybe Yuuta-kun gave Deckard a piece of his heart, and we in turn got a piece of Deckard's. All I know if that we are alive just as you are. All of us.

Maru: *small grin - only Kage wull be able to read the slight uncertainty in his tone* Or maybe you're just special, brother.

Kage: *looks at him.* If any of us are likely to be "special" in such a way, it's Deckard, being the first of us.

Maru: *small, obviously fond grin* Well . . . that goes without saying. Deckard is definitely special.

Kage: *smiles* We all are. I know we are. It makes no sense that if all of us were given sentience in the same way, that only one of us would be alive. *he looks at all the engineers* I can only imagine how hars that must be for all of you to accept, but I know it's true. I don't have my original Super AI anymore, but here I am.

Toudou: It's . . . going to take some getting used to, to say the least.
*After a bit, the rest of the team, along with Yuuta and Saejima, will join everyone in the maintenance bay. Everyone will be there till VERY VERY LATE discussing…/everything/…*

Kage: *is happy to just...visit. Finally, though....* I should go now.

((bc I was NOT about to further screw up what I was working on by switching accounts back and forth before I was done. orz))

((though that /does/ teach me to tag from that account. I've been sitting here waiting for you to tag, waiting for an email...only just /happened/ to see this while checking/clearing the account's inbox 9,9 DUH NO I WOULDN'T GET AN EMAIL THIS TIME oy.))

Kage: I...yes. I'm not currently able to use gasoline as fuel and I'm almost empty. *sheepish* *that yes is to both "/go/ go" and "will he be back"*

*What does he run on now? Is it something they can manufacture? …..will they get to meet this alien robot??*

Kage: I...think so? It's energon, and Subzero makes it here, I'm sure he'd share how to make it. *and he smiles* I think he'd he very happy to meet any and all of you.

*They'd /love/ to! Better for him to come here or them try to go there?*

Kage: Mn. *looks at Saejima* Perhaps a middle ground somehwere. He does not want to cause problems or start a panic. If you'll tell me where to take him, we'll be there when everyone arrives.

Saejima: …….I know where. *he'll arrange with Col. Seia for a large aircraft hangar on one of the more remote bases – they can tell people they're testing a few new, possible BP models (hence the unfamiliar aircrafts that would arrive) and if they meet inside, they can better control who sees/overhears any conversations*

Kage: *nods* We will meet you there. *he glances at Maru, wanting to ask his brother to come with him...he'll go, not wanting to put Maru in a position of wanting to come and not being allowed to for whatever reason.*

Maru: *also wants to go…but…*
Yuuta: *see it* Saejima-san, how about we send Shadowmaru with him?
Saejima: *pauses to think about that, only because it'd not occurred to him first, nods* Do so. Keep us updated on their situation, Kagerou's and Subzero's. I'll have Deckard call you when I've arranged things with Colonel Seia. *glances at Deckard*
Deckard: *salutes!* Of course.

Kage: *give Yuuta a /smile/ and an apreciative nod. He claps Maru's shoulder and will head out with his brother.* I'm glad things have been so well for you.

Maru: *nods* They will be for you too. You'll see. *not that they haven't been…at least since meeting Zero*

Kage: *smiles* I think I can believe that. *bumps his shoulder to Maru's* Fly with me. *and he'll transform and take off.*

Maru: *is /so/ not getting left behind! – shifts and shoots after him without a thought, laughing . . . this feels SO GOOD to be flying with Kagerou!*

Kage: *figures they have a little time, and he's not desperate for fuel so he'll dance and play while heading in the right generL direction, just, having a good time with his brother.*

Maru: *DEFINITELY playing back, will even pull some new moves on Kage…things he's learned from or come up with around DB*

Kage: *laughs, catching on auickly and keepng the game interesting...his need for fuel will finally take over though and they're arriving at Zero's base anyway*
Zero: *smiles* Welcome back. I take it things went well?

Maru: *is in HIGH spirits by the time they land, gives Zero a little bow* I think Kagerou would be the better one to answer that. *of /course/ he'll say yes…knows Kage will too but still…*

Kage: Far better than I could have ever dreamed. */grinning/!*
Zero: *delighted laugh* See? I told you things would go well.
Kage: *sheepish* You did try to tell me. *looks at Maru* I think I needed to hear it from my brother, though.

Maru: *grins* And I'll tell you as many times as you need to hear it, Kagerou.

Zero: *guessing why they're back. He'll bring Kage a cube of energon.*
Kage: *murmurs his thanks and will fuel.* They would like to meet you.
Zero: *perks* I would like that. Have they said when and where?

Maru: *watches in fascination – it…/glows/* They're working on it. They'll call me when they've got it finalized. *wry grin* You have our entire engineering department in quite the buzz, my friend.

Zero: *looks amused* If they've had a close look at your brother, then I'd imagine so.
*Won't be long before Maru's badge goes off*

Maru: Close and thorough. *they'll chat a while, then Maru's badge sounds – pulls it out* Brave Police Shadowmaru here.

Saejima: All is ready, Shadowmaru.
Zero: *smiles. Excited*
